14.9. – 21.12.2007, Chateau du Grand Jardin, Joinville
In september 2007 we drove to Joinville in the Ardennes, a small town in the middle of nowhere. In the internet we had read that there was a Lobi show to be seen. We were surprised that we found a wonderful renaissance castle with original gardens. In an auxiliary building the Lobi exhibition took place. Monsieur Bruno Frey had chosen about 120 objects from different french private collections. The arrangement and the quality of the pieces were on a high level.
In the three show rooms were not only statues but stools, bronzes, ivories, sticks and flutes as well to be seen.
We spent 3 hours there and took a lot of fotographs. The exhibition was accom-panied by a small but very usefull catalogue (96 pages). The foreword was written by Francois Warin. The text is illustrated by historical photos. We are glad that we had seen this outstanding exhibition.
In this auxillary building of the castle was the Lobi exhibition to be seen.
